Review: SInister

This terrifying and seriously disturbing horror movie is one for the books.

Sinister (2012), stars Ethan Hawke as Ellison, an avid crime writer. Ellison is notorious for moving into homes near a crime scene, which he then writes about. But this time, after moving into another house, Ellison gets more trouble than he paid for. An series of unsolved killings are discovered when Ellison finds tapes of bizarre and beyond terrifying murders. The paranormal appears to have a connection to these Mr. Boogie murders, but how? Ellison searches for the answers and discovers a link between an ancient demon and the grizzly murders.

I have to say, I saw Sinister and was forced to stop watching it half way through. The tension and disturbing crimes were too much. But eventually I built up the courage to finish it. Its a great film, and had and awesome concept. Its defiantly one of the most disturbing movies I’ve seen. Yet, I’d still recommend it to those who like those kind of films. Sinister deserves 4 out of 5 stars!

Sinister is rated R for disturbing violence and violent images.
